5 November 2020: Milk Monotony

Another week unchanged on whey, but a €20 fall in skim milk prices. Given the monumental rise in vegetable proteins since September, it is unusual for dairy proteins not to have followed suit, but liquid milk seems now to be going into oversupply, and thus the price of skim drifting.

Sterling has been buoyed by the Chancellor’s extension of the furlough scheme until the end of March, up over a cent against the dollar and half a cent on the euro.
