9 July 2021: Another Game of Two Halves

There’s an interesting split developing between whey and skim, as whey has posted 3% lower prices in Holland this week, yet remains unchanged in Germany and little intelligence from France, whilst skim milk remains stubbornly unchanged. This may cause some problems for a continuation of sliding whey prices, as the complete dearth of buyers wanting anything apart from next week may prompt processors to shut up shop and hold out for higher prices. This scenario could take a couple of weeks more to come about, but please keep an eye on late Q3 requirements.
